プーケットの西海岸の中央に位置するビーチで、島の中で最も賑やかなビーチです。白い砂浜は３㎞にわたり続き、子供にもうれしい遠浅な海となっています。ジェットスキーなどのマリンアクティビティもできます。また、有料ですが、日中は観光客にもうれしい、ビーチパラソルが立ち並びます。日本のパッケージツアーでもよく使われます。
ビーチの近くの通りにはシーフード料理以外にも中華料理、ドイツ料理などといった各国料理が食べられるレストランやお土産店、格安ホテルから高級ホテルが連なっています。
西海岸に面しているため、アンダマン海に沈む夕日も見所です。日が沈み始めるころから、人が集まり始め、１２時頃には盛り上がります。
